  • What is a Speech Pathologist?

    Speech Pathologists study, diagnose and treat swallowing difficulties and communication disorders, including difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social skills, stuttering and using voice.

  • Do I need a referral?

    No you don’t need a medical or specialist referral, anyone can refer for Speech Pathology.

  • Do you see NDIS clients?

    Assessment and therapy is able to be provided to self managed and plan managed NDIS participants.

  • What are your fees?

    Fees vary depending on the nature of the assessment and duration of treatment sessions. Please feel free to contact hello@evolvingspeechpathology.com.au to request further information.

  • What is included in your fees?

    • Face to face time - The primary element of speech therapy.

    • Session planning - Prior to each session, progress/data and sub-goals are reviewed along with creating and printing tailored therapy materials.

    • Communication (prior to sessions) - Confirmation

    • Communication (with other professionals) - Includes calls and emails about goals and progress.

    • Communication (after sessions) - Create and store detailed treatment notes, analyse and record outcome measures for reviews and when necessary email notes/resources to families.

  • Can I claim any rebates from my private health insurance or Medicare?

    Please contact your private health insurance provider to determine if your cover includes Speech Pathology prior to your initial assessment.


    A GP management plan under The Chronic Disease Management (CDM) initiative entitles eligible recipients of up to 5 sessions (per calendar year) that are partially covered by Medicare.
